Portsmouth, VA · Nashville, TN · Since 1975
Writer. Musician. Higher education professional. Faking adulthood with considerable panache since the early nineties.
"The ships never quit coming in and going out of his life — and neither does the work."
The Human
Forged biologically in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1975, Geoffrey grew up watching ships arrive and depart — a metaphor that quietly became a worldview. In 1993 he migrated inland to Nashville, Tennessee for college, and like all great decisions made at 18, it became permanent.
By day, he has spent many years in higher education, helping top universities with senior fundraising — a job that requires extraordinary patience, impeccable timing, and the ability to make a room of very serious people feel genuinely comfortable.
By night (and weekends, and stolen moments between responsibilities), he makes things: audio short fiction that refuses to sit still, music that digs at the softer parts of being human, and whatever comes next. He is, by his own assessment, capable of faking being a responsible adult most days.
Audio Fiction
Brief, wild, immersive stories told in sound. Characters who exist nowhere else. Situations that feel uncomfortably familiar.

The debut album. Available on Apple Music. The kind of record made by someone who has thought too hard about being a person and decided to make something of it anyway.
